Just because I forgot to post doesn't mean that I didn't run!
Day 13: 5km Finished this run in 38 minutes. Slowly but surly I'm getting faster!
Day 14: Mellow rest day!
Day 15: 5km Forgot my watch! No idea how long it took. Started out wanting to quit and by the end I was racing up the last hill :)
Day 16: Ah, Fridays always lots of commuting by bike and very little time to run. At least I'm still being active right?! Right!

Day 12: Jog, sprint, jog, sprint....
.... and try not to die. Phew, I don't know if it was the extra food I'd eaten over Easter or whether it was because I tried to add some sprinting to my jogging to mix it up, whatever it was it nearly killed me!
I did my regular 3.5km route in just over 25 minutes.... slower than when I jog the entire thing???
What ??! But I sprinted here and there! Best guess is that I jogged slower for the rest of the run to make up for the energy I was using to sprint. Oh well, day 1 of sprinting. It can only get better - right? Right? RIGHT!!???!
Off to sew!

Day 11: Here comes Peter cottontail hopping down the bunny trail . . .
Happy Easter!
I managed to get through all of the wonderful foods and treats fairly successfully. Of course as soon as I decided having a glass of wine was a good idea, I also decided chocolate was a good idea too!
No running - dug my skipping rope out but couldn't figure out where to skip where I wouldn't be right at the front door to my apartment. I'll scout out a place soon. Jumping rope is supposed to be great exercise!
I hope the Easter bunny was good to all of you!

Sewing Break!!
Hhmmmm... "Adventures in Sewing" has begun to turn into adventures in life!!
Well, I intrupt these rambling running posts to bring you a sewing related post!
Check out my newest tote.
Appliquéd with a pure white felt dove :)

I am working on about 100 projects at once. Most of them are in the almost finished stage. More sewing fun to come - I promise!

Day 10: Slow and Steady
Well I'll never be accused of running too fast! But I wont be accused of giving up either! :)
Ran 5km today (3miles) took me around 40 minutes. I forgot my watch and had to guess with a little help from clock at the plaza.
Seemed harder today than normal - by the end I was chanting "I think I can, I think I can" which I promptly changed to "I know I can, I know I can!"
Successfully avoided the Easter chocolate all day - hope I have the same willpower tomorrow!
Happy Easter everyone!

Day 8 & 9: Rest and Run!
Took day 8 (Thursday) as a rest day. Also, bought a bunch of Easter chocolate and enjoyed it!!
Day 9: Biked with a loaded bike in the am.
Ran my regular 3.5 km route in 25 min. Did a few speed intervals - or whatever you call it when you go between jogging and running fast for a short time.
Tomorrow I am back to 5km! Woo Hoo. I'm going to do it too!
Everyone seems to be on vacation for Easter of course I wasn't...but I do get Saturdays off! Yay :)
